Nick Havergal – Canopy – Audio
Canopy is a scripted audio drama that explores themes of death, sustainability and digital remembrance, combining environmental sounds with the use of old and new audio technologies. It is set in a Somerset woodland cemetery and centres on a young man who visits his mother’s grave for the first time.
Nick is a Bristol-based playwright and academic with an interest in hidden histories of the South West. He has been a writer-on-attachment at Bristol Old Vic since 2014 and is currently developing Brothers of Dust, a play about young apprentices in Easton set at the turn of the twentieth century.
