Taran Spalding-Jenkin – Down the Drain – Audio
You can take the Cornish youth out of Cornwall but can they ever come back? Down The Drain features real stories of ‘brain drain’ collected from the source – those who have left their childhood homes for potential opportunities elsewhere – brought to life through spoken word and sound.
Taran is a poet and storyteller writing and performing in both English and Cornish. He has written for dance, theatre, given voice to Piski Films’ “Henhwedhlow Kernow” animations, and has performed in a jungle. His name means ‘thunder’ in Cornish and he has had enough of being quiet.
