Overview
Severn Stories
In 2007, Calling the Shots were commissioned by ITV West to make 7 x 30 minute programmes charting the people and history of the longest river in the UK.
One Show regular and scientific prop maker Marty Jopson presented the shows ‘on the road’, building a pontoon bridge near Shrewsbury to recreate the New Model Army’s assault on the town, joining the Severn Rescue Service on call and telling the tragic story of the Severn Railway Bridge disaster of 1960.
