This collaboration is between CTS, the Centre for Death and Society at the University of Bath and the Arnos Vale Cemetery Trust and explores new ways to interpret and explain end of life issues and spaces.

Calling the Shots initially provided production and design consultancy for the AHRC REACT Labs pilot project in 2012, when four writers and four technologists/theatre practitioners took over Arnos Vale Cemetery to creatively explore and confront local community attitudes to the end of life.  The approaches covered sound installation, projection and augmented reality tour guides.

We’re currently in the process of managing consultation on ambitious plans to develop a research and development centre for innovation and practice in death and remembrance at Arnos Vale, with a conference slated for Spring 2016.

CTS is relentlessly creative. They totally understood the Future Cemetery vision and brought artistic integrity to the entire project. I highly recommend working with them.
