We’re Hiring an Events and Distribution Professional

CTS is looking for an Events and Distribution Professional with at least 2 years experience, to deliver an exciting programme of activity throughout the South West in 2017 and 2018. Their role will include the design, programming, management and marketing of events structured around the Random Acts films produced by 16-24 year olds nationally in 2015-2018.

Start date: January 2017

Salary: £26k pa on initial 12 month contract

Hours: Part-Time

Responsibilities

  • Event setup and management – road shows, festivals, workshops and screenings
  • Programming – industry speakers, workshop leaders and Random Acts film makers
  • Liaison with South West partners e.g. Spike Island, Encounters Festival, Engine Room etc.
  • Liaison/Assistance with national touring production managers (based at ICA and Tyneside Cinema), UK Network Centres, and Channel 4
  • Liaison with CTS marketing professionals
  • Festival Distribution and Management of RASW films back catalogue
  • Oversee set up of online resource space for film makers in SW
  • Managing young network Resource Base producer intern in house
  • Some facilitation of workshops

Essential Skills

  • Great organisational and communication skills, including strong written English
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive
  • Experience of event design and delivery
  • Experience of liaison with creative industries and arts sector
  • Experience in marketing, from social media promotion and creating WordPress content to email outreach
  • Good record keeping skills and the ability to manage a number of live projects at one time
  • Budget Management skills
  • Understanding of Equal Opportunities and diversity issues
  • Attention to detail

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of working with young people
  • Knowledge of arts scene in South West
  • Knowledge of media industry scene in South West
  • Basic creative and design skills, e.g. Photoshop
  • Experience of partnership working
