Tuesday 4th May BEYOND NEW CREATIVES – INSPIRATION SESSION
7pm

You’ve made your New Creatives project, now what? Where could your piece take you? Hear from (and question!) some South West New Creatives who have used their work to get more work, and get inspired!

Featuring:

  • Pierre Niyongira (Dinah) – winner of 2020 RWA first prize
  • Millie Wood-Downie (I Want to be Good) – now an ACE-funded one woman theatre show
  • Zia Holloway (Burn Your Wishes) – MA screenwriting at the NFTS & represented by renowned agency Casarotto Ramsay
  • Miles Sloman (Anoraks) – accepted into the BBC Writers Room
  • Impermanence Dance Company (Blast!) – Birmingham Royal Ballet commission through Director (and dancer/presenter) Carlos Acosta

Wednesday 5th May NEXT STEPS: FILM

What to do with your film? And how to go about making more work?

This session will discuss short film festival and distribution ideas, as well as possible routes for future filmmaking, from funding to low-budget to music promos and commercials.

What to do with your audio piece? And what to make/where to go next? 

This session will look at how to get your work heard by audiences and how to go about making more work, from commissions to making podcasts to radio.
