Together For Short Lives is a national charity that supports families with a terminally ill child.
Calling The Shots was asked to create a series of films that explored the experience of families coming to terms with first diagnosis of a child’s illness, caring for a child at home and dealing with the death of a child. Each film is completely in the voice of families who are dealing now with the challenges, moments of joy and ultimate sadness this brings.
They talk about some of the hurdles they have faced, what support they receive, and how they have dealt with difficult and emotional situations throughout their child’s life.
I have just watched the 3 videos. They are so moving and really well done. What amazing people and how interesting to see the parents perspective. They really have given me food for thought. Thank you for highlighting them.
